The Bedford area is served by a well-connected rail service as part of the East Midlands network which runs from the new St Pancras station in London through Leicester, Derby and Nottingham to the Northern cities of Sheffield and Leeds. New trains and a host of infrastructure improvements will make journey times even faster in the coming months and years. There is a train to London every 10-15 minutes, taking just over half an hour to St Pancras, the home of Eurostar. This means that Bedford is now less than 3 hours from Paris or Brussels by train. There are also local services on the Marston Vale line to Bletchley and there are plans to link this service to Milton Keynes Central.
